N Gauge - Gala Water

Our N Gauge layout is based on the area around Fountainhall Junction on the now closed Waverley Route between Edinburgh and Carlisle. The Gala Water is the river that features on the layout and in reality flows down to Galashiels as it is crossed and re-crossed by the railway. Fountainhall Junction was the starting point for the Lauder Light Railway and the small intermediate station at Oxton is represented on the model.
